History

Artemis is a talented warlock, despite the turbulent upbringing of losing his parents to hunters and thus being raised by his coven. This instilled a drive within him from a young age, determined to be able to prevent and protect others from experiencing the same ordeals.
When it came to cementing his place as a warlock by signing over his name (and subsequent soul) in cfor magical abilities Artemis decided to discuss an additional clause.

In return for more focused abilities on healing, something he felt the coven was greatly lacking, he would agree to one condition. Those who he heals must pay, for minor injuries Artemis has discovered a loop hole of providing them with meaningless tasks for him which is considered adequate payment. Those who are fataly wounded however, the price is often a soul, that being extortionate or unacceptable to most (primarily hunters) they take the option of an I.O.U. Artemis never specifies this particular agreement is not with him but with the infernal powers that granted him the abilities. They will be called upon for a task of Lucifer's choosing, should they refuse then Artemis himself must collect the soul.

Often he will try where he can to prevent an I.O.U. option, although should it be unavoidable he sees it as a necessary evil.

Should a client try to run without paying for any level of healing, Artemis will reverse the effects the moment they leave the threshold of his cabin. If violence occurs in an attempt to get out of the agreement he will have no qualms in disposing of the person himself, viewing it that they tried to take advantage of his good nature and talents.

Personality

Artemis is, as a whole, a kind natured man. At over 500 years old he posses wit, sarcasm, a high level of standards and a keen willingness to help those who come across his cabin or cross his path in the woods. A loyal ally once trust is earned he is a reliable shoulder to lean on and will offer insight if he can. Once reaching that level he will do everything in his ability, should they need healing, to provide enough meaningless tasks to cover any price. Or even use a soul he has from an agreement gone wrong to exchange.
He does feel guilt, especially if his willingness to heal and help others is utilised by Lucifer through their agreement, who simply needs the souls so asks the impossible resulting in Artemis having to collect. It weighs on him in the quiet hours.

Heartbreak has made him sceptical to the concept of love, uncertain that any of it is real after a significant betrayal. As such he favours more casual encounters, as such he is more flirtatious in nature nowadays.
